Some years ago the Executive Committee of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (EC-IFAS) was based in Almaty, Kazakhstan. At that time, I, Alfred Diebold, was the Technical Director of EC-IFAS. We wanted to sensitize people, particularly children, with he problems and situation around the Aral Sea.
