Abstract: This report provides assessments of the risks posed by uranium mining and milling activities in the Central Asian countries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The report provides a technical baseline and common understanding of regional and site-specific issues. It is hoped that this document will serve as a basis for identifying, prioritizing and coordinating the necessary activities to make these sites safe for the population and the environment around them.
